This training is a one day 4 hour in person session with 3 one hour virtual follow up sessions Focusing on the 5 pillars of prevention. All 4 session must be attended to received contact hour credits.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify key factors influencing behavior, including environment, peer dynamics, and perceived rewards
  • Explain how substances impact brain function, motivation, and long-term decision-making
  • Recognize the connection between identity, labeling, and behavior
  • Apply practical strategies to improve communication and engagement
  • Identify both risk factors and protective factors influencing behavior
  • Utilize a structured framework to support decision-making and goal-setting
  • Translate prevention concepts into actionable strategies within their settings
  • Demonstrate increased engagement with and openness to prevention strategies and messaging
