Arkansas Substance Use Block Grant (SUBG) Peer Recovery Services

The Arkansas Substance Use Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery Services Block Grant (SUBG) funds critical recovery services to support individuals on their journey to long-term wellness. Administered by MidSOUTH at UA Little Rock, the SUBG Recovery Services initiative focuses on expanding access to resources that promote sustained recovery, strengthen community support systems, and improve quality of life for individuals affected by substance use disorders.
Our Mission
The Arkansas SUBG Recovery Services program is dedicated to:
- Expanding access to peer recovery support services.
- Strengthening community-based recovery initiatives.
- Increasing awareness and reducing stigma around substance use disorders.
- Providing education and training to enhance recovery-oriented systems of care.
Key Services & Support
- Peer Recovery Support – Facilitating training for Peer Recovery Specialists who provide mentorship, encouragement, and guidance.
- Family & Community Education – Providing resources to families and communities to promote understanding and support for sustained recovery.
- Partnerships & Collaboration – Working alongside treatment providers, law enforcement, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to strengthen the recovery network across Arkansas.
