The MidSOUTH Foster Parent Program provides training
to prospective foster parents and people interested in adopting
children who are in DCFS custody. The Foster Parent Program is a 30
hour course provided in 3 hour sessions. The training is designed to
help foster/adoptive parents understand the challenges and rewards of
rearing abused or neglected children.
MidSOUTH publishes and distributes the Foster Pride newsletter to more
than 1,000 foster families and child welfare workers each quarter.
