Distance Education / MSCVN
MidSOUTH's Compressed Video Network (MSCVN) currently consists of eight sites across the state
of Arkansas. It was created as a way to provide access to trainings, meetings, and other events
for Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS) staff without the need for
traveling to a central location. While DCFS events take priority over other conferencing requests,
the MSCVN is available to other organizations.
Compressed video technology provides two-way audio and video communication. Participants at
all sites can hear and see each other through television monitors. Participants can get immediate
feedback to questions and comments.
